Coordination, governance, and emergent socio-technical systems
Oumo Systems is a research and design studio studying how complex systems coordinate, govern themselves, and fail.
We combine engineering, institutional design, and speculative work to produce practical frameworks for futures that currently lack established forms. Projects take the shape required by the problem—software, papers, simulations, or narrative—because no single medium is sufficient for every question.
Current focus areas:
The guiding principle is simple: first build structures that remain coherent and inhabitable under stress. Only then consider what can sustainably grow.
We do not prioritize scale as the first goal.
We prioritize coherence under stress.
Only then do we consider what can sustainably grow.
